What To Wear In Egypt: A Shoppable Packing List
Egypt is hot, dusty, and full of adventures that require a very specific kind of wardrobe. Whether you’re marveling at the Pyramids, cruising down the Nile, or exploring Cairo’s bustling streets, packing the wrong thing can mean overheating, unwanted attention, or just feeling uncomfortable all day.
After visiting Egypt myself, I learned what works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to dressing for the country’s unique mix of desert heat and conservative culture. This capsule wardrobe is designed to maximize outfit options while minimizing luggage space. Each item is versatile enough to be worn at least twice, making room for other items including skincare, camera gear, etc. Pair these looks effortlessly for Cairo adventuring, pyramid exploring, temple hopping, or Red Sea lounging.

For your first temple visit, this rust-hued Reformation dress pairs well with these sturdy brown boots over the desert landscape. And a navy scarf adds sun protection and a fun pop of color to help you stand out in any photos you take against Egypt’s ancient limestone structures.

For your next ancient ruin, pair…
