What to Wear in Yosemite This Summer: A Shoppable Packing List
Including bonus essentials and the 3 takeaways for how to dress in Yosemite
Shoppable Packing Lists
Welcome to my latest Shoppable Packing List post! I’m so excited to bring you another curated guide, designed with style, comfort, and practicality in mind. For this July edition, I’m sharing what to wear in Yosemite, where towering granite cliffs, alpine meadows, and endless trails create the kind of scenery that’s as photogenic as it is unpredictable (yes, even in summer, layering is key).
The first two outfits are available to all subscribers, but the rest of the packing list (including any remaining shoppable links!) will be exclusively for paid subscribers. If you love what you see, stay tuned. More shoppable packing lists for destinations around the world will be available soon. Now, onto the list…
What to Wear in Yosemite This Summer: A Shoppable Packing List
I love the moment in the day when Yosemite valley gets quiet. The sun is setting across the cliffs, the wind moves through the trees, and for a second, you feel like you’ve stumbled into something timeless! Something just for you. The scale of it all is hard to describe until you’re standing there, but one thing that isn’t is the weather. It can turn just as quickly as the light, so what you pack on a trip to Yosemite makes a big difference.
After revisiting this epic national park last month, I put together this Yosemite what-to-wear guide with outfits for sunrise hikes, afternoon bike rides, easy lodge dinners, and long, but beautiful days out in the park. Whether you’re exploring Mirror Lake, wandering Cook’s Meadow, or watching sunrise from Glacier Point, this list is designed to keep you comfortable and camera-ready without overpacking!
The Packing List (Sneak Peek!)
Here are the first two looks I recommend for Yosemite:
Sunrise hiking
You’ll want layers for those early Yosemite starts. This combo keeps you warm at sunrise and lets you peel things off as the sun warms up mid-hike. The packable fleece jacket and raincoat handle cool mornings or windy summits, while the hiking shoes and merino socks keep your feet happy from start to finish. Add a reusable water bottle and you're ready to summit Upper Yosemite Falls or the Mist Trail.

Lodge dining
For when the day's done and you're headed to the lodge for dinner or a drink. This floral maxi feels put together but still easy, and a linen button-down that you can tie up in the front adds a layer if it cools off. Comfortable Birkenstocks and a woven tote round it out so you're relaxed, yet ready for a lodge restaurant.
